Planning a Visit

Stepping into an unfamiliar place for the first time can be a little intimidating and maybe even uncomfortable for some people - especially when it's a church. We get that and have prepared our weekend services to be enjoyable and hassle-free. When you visit EWCC, you can expect to feel welcomed and accepted from the moment you step through the door. You'll be warmly greeted, and directed to your seat. (it is Sunday afternoon, after all)  So, here is our best attempt at explaining what our church services are like. If you like what you see, join us for a service or mid-week meeting. We would love to meet you!

Our church is a friendly church! We're A Small, Cozy Church

One of the first things you will notice as you walk through the door is that we are a contemporary small family of believers. While there, you'll probably notice people from all different backgrounds and walks of life - maybe even some people you know. While in the lobby, volunteers will always be close-by to answer any questions and make you feel welcome in any way they can.

Once in the Sanctuary, you will be encouraged by our passionate live band and worship team, relevant and inspiring presentations of the Gospel, and life-changing prayer times. You will notice that EWCC has a contemporary flow with old-school values, upbeat, and simply put, fun, but more importantly, that it's a Christ-centered church. That's something we never apologize for - our church revolves around the message of Jesus and works hard at communicating it in a way that is authentic and life-giving.

All in all, what you can expect at EWCC is pretty much what you could expect when visiting friends - to be respected, taken-care-of and to leave feeling that you're glad you came.

Service starts promptly at 12:30 pm

Intercession time

You will know that service is starting because you will see one of the ministers preparing to begin our intercession prayer time then the music begins.

Scripture and Mission Time

Read scripture to set the tone for service after prayer, Followed by us stating what our mission as a church is: The mission of Empowerment Worship Christian Center is to empower, equip, enlighten, encourage, and engage people to maximize their potential through their relationship with Jesus Christ.

EWCC exists to:

  • Enlighten: provide a deeper understanding and knowledge
  • Encourage: provide hope and support
  • Engage: motivate people to pursue their purpose
  • Equip: provide innovative tools that support change
  • Empower: walk-in deliverance
  • Energize: to run this race for the Kingdom.

Praise & Worship Time

The praise and worship team and musicians begin singing to God, starting with some upbeat contemporary songs. As the faster praise songs end, they are followed by a time of slow, peaceful worship. You can raise your hands, lift your voice, and lose yourself in the presence of God. The Holy Spirit flows throughout the sanctuary as the worship team ministers with tenderness and emotion.

After Worship, God's Word Is Spoken

Worship Team Singing As the slow worship music fades, the children are dismissed to their classes and Pastor Tito begins to preach the word or present a guest speaker. The preaching in our church is uplifting, encouraging, and challenging. We don't teach religious dogma or tired contemporary fads. We preach the unchanging Word of God in a way that you can understand, apply, and build upon. You will nod, smile, laugh, and just enjoy yourself as our pastors deliver what they have learned through their studies and moments with the Holy Spirit.

Moments for Breakthrough Ministry

After the preaching, there is usually a time for prayer or actions relating to the message that has just been delivered. You can feel free to get up and walk over to the speaker for personal one-on-one ministry. You may also want to request prayer for someone you know. This time is dedicated to you and your needs.

A Time for Giving

Worship Team Sing Praises After our ministry time, we collect our tithes and offerings. We believe that giving is an important part of our faith. It helps to keep the church running and our senior pastor available for our members. As a visitor, you are not required to give, but you may wish to contribute an offering as God leads you. We thank you for your generosity. If you are still a member of another church, you may wish to give your tithes to your own church, but you welcomed to present an offering if you feel that you would like to do so.

A Final Prayer

After tithes and offerings are collected, we dismiss the congregation, sometimes with a song. Other times, a simple prayer will do. Upon dismissal, you will be approached by our church members, other visitors, and some of our leadership. You will most likely be invited to future services and mid-week meetings. Take time to meet our leadership team and learn more about the families that make up our church membership.

We are confident that you will just love our church. So, what do you think – would you join us this week? If so, click here for directions and a schedule of services and meetings.
