Psalm 139:23-24: "Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!" Have you ever felt weighed down, but you just can't pinpoint the reason why? All too often, there may be sin or other shackles in our lives that we aren't even aware of, but that are standing in the way of our relationship with God. We should constantly be asking God to show us these hidden things so that we can rise past them and follow Him more fully.

Faith-In-Action:
As Christians, we simply handle burdens by casting them on Jesus. This sounds too simple but it works. Jesus has already carried all our sins and burdens on the cross. Why then would you still keep on carrying them? God has promised to take care of you. You just need to trust this applies to you too. And it does. All the promises in the Bible are meant to each one of us.
Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).
(Psalm 55:22, AMP,*)
So you need to learn to release our burdens to Jesus. How do you do that? You give them to the Lord in prayer. Just do it on your own words, you don't need to be eloquent. Just cry out to the Lord and say whatsoever on your heart. Anything that bothers you is a concern for God and he wants to hear it. So just dump your burdens at the foot of the cross (and don't pick them up after you've finished your prayer). God hears you and he will lift your burdens and give you peace.
