James 4:14: "Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." How do you define fulfillment? Wealth, fame, social status? This verse reminds us that in the end, our lives on earth are just temporary. But if we trust in Christ, then we have something real and lasting to look forward too. Therefore, we should not grow complacent when life is going well, nor should we despair in the midst of suffering. We are called to rise above the promises of this temporary life, looking to the one to come.
What do you Invest more in the now(temporary life) or eternity?

Faith-In-Action:
We need to see things from Jesus perspective. Get your eyes off of the things right in front of you, and focus on the things of Jesus…eternal things! He then goes on to say that the real fun begins when Jesus shows back up on this Earth, but until that happens we are to be content! We are to stop doing whatever we feel like doing, we are to stop living for today, and live for the days of eternity to come!
That is easier said than done isn't it? We live in a world that is screaming for us to enjoy the day right? Live for the now! Do what feels good because tomorrow you may die right? It is so hard for us to focus on anything other than today. This is the world we live in, and it is a daily battle to be able to focus on God and get through the day.
